A one off that is as covert as it gets! It features a full DLC Blade and DLC Hardware with only a faded out version of the Scarab logo appearing on the clip for identification.
These new Scarab II's (and especially this Shadow version) are hands down absolutely the most hard hitting and sold mechanical thudding loud ASFU OTF knives anyone has ever built!
Got to admit... It's a miracle that they're so dam easy to open and close given the increase in size over the prior models that so nicely resonates the new lock out noise click symphony. Careful it pretty much turns heads.
All made possible it would seem by a width and height increase in the thumb pocket or ramp on the slider button. The slider button is about double the width of the Ultratech and the height looks to be about a 50% increase over that same present produced model. Absolutely a pleasure to open and close! But... Avoid sharing it in public places like restaurants because people will hear it across a noisy room for sure.
Final notes: You will get the exact blade configuration as shown: D/E Plain Edge DLC Blade and most importantly it will have the small grooves that are on the blade where it meets the handle. It is rumored at the mill that getting the side flutes is a hit or miss thing. These knives for this listing were vetted with a quick pop and check so the delivery will be solid as shown 100%.
So.... These SIDE FLUTES maybe remind you of the bear claw scratches that appeared on that Ferrari back in the mid 80s? Same concept but not with air flow on the knife it's for liquid flow. They make it so liquids will easily flow around the inner edges of the blade with as little resistance as possible in the event there is any amount of fluids present in the handle cavity.
