Matt Diskin is a knifemaker who has studied the arts of the automatic knife for a long time, he has studied with some of the best including Butch Vallotton, Mastersmith Steve Schwarzer and Mastersmith Bill Moran. Diskins career in the automatic arts has lead him to start a production company to manufacture the Amsterdam line of concealed release auto's

To fire the blade as an automatic simply press down on the wheel with your thumb and pivot the wheel, this is easily done by actually pivoting the whole knife slightly while pressing on the wheel and the blade will fire into the locked position.
