At Dauntless Manufacturing, the mission is to ensure that everyone can carry their knives. The team continuously seeks ways to enhance accessibility without compromising on the quality they uphold. The introduction of this pre-configured model aims to achieve that goal in a straightforward manner. By collaborating with material suppliers, Dauntless identified opportunities to lower costs through bulk purchasing, resulting in the use of AEB-L steel and Natural Canvas Micarta for this knife. This model continues the Hot and Ready series.

Designed in partnership with Matt Helm, this knife is based on his Work Knife tanto pattern. It preserves Helm's meticulous attention to detail and usability in a form that is more accessible than ever. For this production run, the knife is crafted from AEB-L stainless steel, professionally heat treated to 59-60 HRc, and features a beadblast finish along with Dauntless jimping. The overall length is 7.53", with a cutting edge measuring 3.5", and it is 3/16" thick, showcasing a machined double flat grind edge geometry.

Included with the knife is a standard black kydex sheath equipped with a Discreet Carry Concepts Mod 4 1.75" clip. All standard accessories for the Work Knife V4 are compatible with this model, including sheaths and scales.

Variations in materials and manufacturing processes may result in differences in coloration on blades and scales from lot to lot.
