This New Old Stock (NOS) Benchmade Ascent (830SBT) is a rare "blackout" variant of Benchmade’s classic 1990s lightweight workhorse. A covert evolution of the 830 series, this vintage specimen features a partially serrated (CombinationEdge™) blade crafted from ATS-34 stainless steel, finished in the highly desirable BT2™ proprietary black Teflon® coating. As an uncirculated find, this "frozen-in-time" piece remains in excellent condition, preserving the original matte-black finish and the crisp, high-traction Black FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle scales that define Benchmade’s golden era of utilitarian design.
