The Rexford RUT (Utility Tool) is a reliable, pocket-friendly tool designed for everyday tasks. This rugged tool has been a Rexford Knives staple for over a decade, and the V5 edition builds upon the improvements of the V4. Key V5 updates include a second wraparound area, functioning as a finger choil, which helps maintain precise tolerances and secures the blade's middle section within the pocket. Increased rounding inside the blade pocket accommodates blades with sharp or hooked edges near the top cutouts, and a thicker main body provides added durability. The RUT's primary function is its utility blade holder, which securely locks standard-sized utility blades in both open and closed positions. It also features a can/bottle opener and a combined split ring/hex tool holder. The #2 flathead screwdriver doubles as a light-duty pry bar. Precision machined in the USA from certified US-made 6AL4V titanium with stainless steel screws, the RUT includes a utility blade, pry bar/flathead screwdriver, bottle opener, and bit driver/lanyard hole. It uses a replaceable standard utility blade and features a secure closed lock position with no blade rattle. A cleanout passage on the main body and angled cleanout grooves ensure easy maintenance. Finally, the RUT is precision machined in-house.
