We received a PJ (Plain Jane) Waka a few months back from Edison Barajas at Sharknivco, it was accompanied by our dealer exclusive Green and Black CamoQuartz Wakas. This immediately seemed like a perfect "canvas" knife to adorn with some pops of color, we thought about anodizing or lasering it ourselves here at the PVK shop (Yes we do a bunch of customizing) but then thought of our friend Wilfred "ChippedMetal" Valtakis II on IG and Tiktok who has been excelling at carving and selectively anodizing Titanium. 

Wilfred had also worked with us on a titanium inlay HAWK Knives Deadlock recently and knocked it out of the park. Nicknamed the "Hawk of Paradise" this Model C is truly outstanding. There are not to many engravers in the industry working in titanium and doing selective anodizing is particularly tricky. So finding someone willing and more than able is a great asset to the community.  

The Waka project was off to the races with Wilfred carving away diligently posting progress pictures on instagram ( https://www.instagram.com/chippedmetal/ ) the clock was ticking away. Before I knew it it was time for Blade Show Texas 2025! Wilfred let me know the knife was completed and need photography, there wasn't enough time to ship the knife back to us in NH and get it to Coop in CT ( https://www.sharpbycoop.com/ ) from Wilfred in California. 

The call was made to ship it to Jeremiah directly in Texas at Blade Show, Coop would be there taking photographs of everyone's knives at the show and while a little risky it was worth a shot! It arrived just in time in Texas
