Maxace Obsidian, Spear Point, Titanium Handle, Gold Carbon Fiber Inlay
This Obsidian render features a S90V blade with the rock grind handles carved from Titanium.
The latch design on these is quite a bit similar to the design popularized by famed custom maker Santiago with the his simple but highly effective signature style where he dropped a dowel through the latch. This latch style spread like wildfire and appeared everywhere. Our favorite small shop auto maker BURN even went to him to learn how to correctly build this extremely important piece of the balisong design that is so difficult to properly execute many makers ended up leaving it off the build and went to the clean and simplistic latch-less style that is as old as the balisong design itself. Pick it up and squeeze - the spring latch jumps to attention out of the way-safe so the blade has no shot at bumping it while you spin.
