Ralph Selvidio (Rattler) Large Automatic, Damascus Blade, Damascus Bolsters with Mother of Pearl Scales, Custom Gold Carved Face , Carved Spine
This Knife is over a couple decades old yet has been kept in absolute pristine condition. Appears bradn new
Ralph Selvidio was an acknowledged master knife maker from 1986 until his passing in 2005. He was a student of legendary knifemaker Bill McHenry.
Ralph Selvideo's knives are regarded by serious collectors as essential additions to any collection. Following his passing, many of his pieces have been tucked away in private collections, making it quite rare for a "Rattler" knife of this size and quality to be available on the open market.
Selvideo was renowned for his collector-grade automatic knives, often using natural materials like fossil ivories and various mother-of-pearl shells. He had a particular affinity for damascus steel sourced from some of the finest forgers, which he used for both blades and bolsters.
This knife exemplifies Selvideo's signature style and includes all of his hallmark features. It boasts sculpted damascus bolsters, a face set into the spine, and carved anodized titanium liners, along with an intricately worked spine—truly a remarkable art knife.
His absence is felt deeply in the knifemaking community, and Rattler brand knives have only increased in collectability since his untimely death. Don’t miss the chance to add an outstanding example of Ralph Selvideo's craftsmanship to your collection.
