The base model TR-3 has a Blast Finish blade and matching finish hardware - it is every bit as good as any of the other choices but with the uncoated blade you will need to take better care of it to prevent any discoloration.
The ProTech TR-3 (Tactical Response Version 3) auto series featurea a razor sharp 154-CM spear point blade great for EDC (every day carry) or for field work utility tasks. The handle of the TR3 has been designed with a distinct taper to the end of the handle where you will find a lanyard hole and extra jimping on both the top and bottom, the TR3 has single finger choil in the handle to assist in a firm grip of this knife even under extreme situations where the handle or your hands might be wet.
