Heckler
& Koch Knives deliver impressive speed and outstanding reliability.
The Ballista XL is a noteworthy addition to HK/Hogue's esteemed
collection of automatic folding knives. It boasts a 3.75" partial serrated tanto blade coated in black Cerakote, accompanied by attractive red/black
Chromacut G10 handles. What sets the Ballista apart is its ingenious
patent-pending blade retention mechanism, allowing effortless one-handed
opening and closing without risking contact with the blade. For added
safety, a manual lock secures the knife in both open and closed
positions, preventing accidental deployment. The knife also features a
reversible deep-carry pocket clip made of stainless steel.
This American-made folder showcases ChromaCut, a layered G10 material
developed by Hogue Knives, which reveals captivating color patterns
when machined, enhancing grip across the knife's frame. The model
exhibits a black, textured Peel Ply exterior and a striking red
interior, embodying the distinct brand identity of Heckler and Koch.
The HK Ballista XL stands as the first automatic ABLE Lock mechanism
in the Hogue catalog, allowing ambidextrous operation with rapid blade
deployment from the side when the lock bar is engaged. A safety switch
located on the ChromaCut G10 frame's spine prevents unintended blade
activation. The blade itself is crafted from S30V stainless steel,
finished with black Cerakote, and available in both drop point and
partially serrated tanto profiles.
Heckler and Koch, a renowned manufacturer of groundbreaking firearms,
has partnered with Hogue Knives to produce a comprehensive line of
