Guardian Tactical's newest product is the Scout. The innovative OTF mechanism makes opening and shutting this blade substantially smoother and more powerful. Their innovative locking mechanism does not make contact with the blade while in motion, minimizing friction and wear. To avoid usual OTF wear on the aluminum handle, the thumb slide employs a steel plate and ceramic balls.
The overall length of this Scout Double-Action Automatic is 7.98" and the closed length is 4.5". The Elmax clip-point blade measures 3.45" long. 0.13" thick blade with a sharp cutting edge. Both sides of the Charcoal Grey Type ll Hardcoat Anodized Aluminum handle have Carbon Fiber inlays. To decrease friction, the thumb slide is mounted on a stainless steel plate with ceramic balls. It has Silver hardware throughout, including a 6AL-4V machined Titanium pocket clip for tip-down carry.
