Special Microtech Gladius Ultratech One Hundred Dollar Bill Gold Certificate, these are finished here in house at PVK.
The blade on this knife was laser treated to effect the text and colors as shown. These will not rub off or wear off under normal use. This is done with approximately the same process as the manufacturer uses to mark blades with company logos that last for the lifetime of the knife subject to slight wear.
Each knife in this unique design is mechanical engraved on the side of the knife with a serial number from 01 to 04 a total of 4 knives were made. To preserve the integrity of your serial number as XX of 04 it is stated that no more knives will be made using this design combination as shown.
The handle design was achieved using UV reactive paints that are securely bonded to surface of the knife's original anodize. This process includes a final UV hardened clear coat and makes this applied design extremely durable. It will deflect pocket change and should be carried and used however it is not the manufacturers mil-spec coating and should be handled with the care you would give any user grade custom knife that you would like to keep in excellent condition.
Additionally this knife also includes a Microtech Production Grade box that has a 3D Relief $100 Gold Certificate painted transparent on the top of the Microtech Logo. Though each knife's handle is 99% identical the blade colors vary slightly and the bills on the box are slightly different levels of transparency for each with the goal of leaving as much of the maker's logo showing as possible and having the bill be recognizable by touch.
